Episode 123: Tom Brady's Conflict of Interest and Better Man's Complete Failure
Angelo, Rhea, and Jay are back to discuss whether or not Tom Brady's minority ownership of the Raiders makes it impossible for him to call games for Fox Sports. We already know that he's not even a middling analyst, but when you factor in the restrictions placed on him by other teams for being an owner, it's safe to say that Brady is stealing a large part of that 1/3rd of a billion dollar deal that he signed.
THEN, the gang talks about the complete and utter failure of the bizarre Robbie William's biopic Better Man, in which the title character is played by a CGI monkey. The critics seem to think it's a bold and innovative way to tell the same old story, and, indeed, the people who have actually seen the movie appear to enjoy it, but this week it earned $1 million against a budget of... ONE HUNDRED AND TEN MILLION! How does something like this happen?
ALL THAT, PLUS: A discussion of Lockerbie and shows that hit too close to home, a review of Severance season one ahead of season two's upcoming release, and much MUCH more!
